Pet Pavilion Grooming - Battersea, London
The lovely people of Pet Pavilion in Battersea invited Puggy and Pops for a makeover! Obviously these insta pooches need to look fresh to death at all times, so we jumped at the opportunity!
We booked in a groom for both pooches, an easy process online, or just call them and they will talk you through everything, making it a real stress free experience.

There are two types of dogs at the groomers, there are the Puggys of the world who love playing in water, flirting with the groomer and having a makeover. Then there’s the Pop Sausages. She will stare at you with eyes full of sorrow, as if you have sent her straight to hell. She shakes and cries and then ignores her humans for the next 24 hours. We decided it was best to send Pops in first but to our surprise she trotted right into the arms of the groomer and seemed very relaxed in her company.

The grooming salon in Battersea branch of Pet Pavilion is downstairs below the gorgeous, fully stocked pet store. The salon is small but well equipped, very clean and very safe. I was impressed with the groomers knowledge and confidence handling both Puggy and Pops, and I particularly liked how she reassured them and spoke to them the whole time. It was clear to see this woman loves her job, which as a dog owner fills me with confidence and has guaranteed our return custom.
The dogs were both washed and scrubbed with a strawberry scented shampoo which smelt amazing, we were asked about skin irritations and sensitivities first though, so the groomer could ensure she was using the right product for the right skin type. She took her time and thoroughly washed them both, gentle around their faces, taking extra time with Puggy as he has soo much floof!

Pops was a little nervous with the blow dryer, and I watched on as the groomer picked her up and held her in front of a softer air blowing machine, that was quieter and better for Pops. The groomer also showed me the drying boxes, where very nervous (or very hairy) dogs can go to have a nap and dry off safely and securely.
Puggy took a little longer to dry, he has a double coat and floof was flying everywhere. He absolutely loved every minute, he has wagging his tail, eating snacks and even high fiving his new groomer best mate.

When they were dry, their nails were clipped and their ears were cleaned. Puggy was the ultimate good boy while she cleaned his face wrinkles, a process he usually hates more than anything! I have never seen either dog so at ease when being cleaned and groomed and spent the rest of the time wondering why id ever tried to do do any of this at home when they are so much happier here!

We finished with a perfume spritz and both dogs strutted out that salon feeling like a million bucks! Their coats are shiny and they smell amazing still, even a few days later!
Up the stairs we went, and obviously had to pick up a few treats from the shop! We were also pleasantly surprised at the check out when we were given 10% off our bill because we had booked a groom.

This was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Im pretty certain the groomer is a dog whisperer as i've not seen either dogs connect with a stranger so fast. Will we be back? Youre damn right we will!
Top Tip: They offer a huge range of treatments from tear stain removal, full grooms and professional teeth cleaning. All dogs of all shapes and sizes welcome.
Snackies out of 10? 11/10 would scrub a dub dub again!
