Pizza Pilgrims - Canary Wharf (West India Quay) London

By now, i'm sure you all know that we LOVE pizza!

Pizza pilgrims has been one of our favourite haunts in Shoreditch for a while, so we decided to check out the Canary Wharf branch, as we had heard great things!

Easy to get to by train or car, and there’s a huge multi story car park right opposite, which was a bonus.

We strutted in on a sunny Sunday lunch time and were shown to our seats by the very smiley waiter.

We were assured dogs were welcome both inside and out, but decided to make the most of the British summer time and enjoy our lunch al fresco, on the water front, sat on a fuzzy green outdoor sofa!

Pops and Puggy curled up on the sofas and enjoyed the sunshine, while us humans were living our best life slurping on earl grey iced teas while our pizzas were being freshly prepared.

The pizzas came out piping hot with a generous mountain of toppings on them. We ordered the ’Napoli Salami ands Sweet Pepper pizza’ made with authentic black pepper salami from Naples, spicy Nduja and oven roasted sweet peppers. Absolute perfect combo of sweet and spicy. We also ordered a white pizza, with fennel, sausage, wild Italian broccoli and chillis. Truly one of tastiest pizzas i’ve had! The dough was so nourish I could have eaten it alone with the truffle dip! Bloody gorgeous!

It would be a crime to see the words ’NUTELLA PIZZA RING’ on a menu and not order it. So, in true greedy guts fashion, we demolished it. Pizza dough, stuffed with Nutella, a dollop of choccie ice-cream and ricotta. No regrets!

We had a blast at pizza pilgrims, the food was top level, the staff were efficient and the place looks great. Theres many Instagram shots to be taken in this place, both inside and out, so we recommend taking your pooch on down there, especially while its still warm enough to enjoy the gorgeous terrace!

Top tip - Try to head there on the weekends, as weekdays can get extremely busy as its in the business district. Dogs welcome in ALL branches

Snackies out of ten? 9/10 would crust again! (1 snack point lost as there was no water bowl for doggies - not a big deal as we bought our own, but its always a nice touch!)
