Our family dog, Dug the schnauzer is a poorly boy. He has recently been diagnosed with terminal cancer, so we decided to pay him a visit and share our ‘Doggies that Lunch’ box with him to cheer him up!

Dug was in great spirits on the day of our visit, so we opened the box and let him dive straight in. He was kind enough to share his goodies with his schnauzer brother Harry, Pops and Puggy, and here’s what they all thought…..

Firstly - the box itself is great. Designed like a little suitcase, its the perfect gift for any pooch, and is guaranteed to make the humans smile too! (Not to mention its hella instagrammable!)

A single box will cost you £15 (Plus £2.95 uk shipping) but the longer you subscribe, the more you will save! The contents of the boxes change each month so every one is a complete surprise. All boxes are tailored to your dogs size depending on if they are a small, medium or large breed, to ensure they get goodies that will suit their needs! Your pooch will receive a cute selection of edibles and fun things to play with, so they will be entertained for hours!

All four dogs were VERY interested and before the box was even opened, were all sniffing and pawing at the edges.

Inside, they were delighted to find a really thoughtful mix of toys and treats perfect for them all! Our box contained a Rosewood soft dog toy with a squeaker, A rope tug toy, hypoallergenic dry dog food, Forthglade treats for healthy joints and bones and a bag of blueberry and sweet potato chew sticks

We used the kibble and the forth glade treats to bury in snuffle matts, which the dogs all enjoyed very much. After we all played for ages with both toys, we gave each pooch a vegan ‘Pawtato” chew stick to try. We have never seen these treats before, so didn’t know what to expect, but each pooch absolutely demolished theirs and came begging for more. After reading more about the chew sticks, I was pleasantly surprised to find that not only are they delicious and low in fat, but they are great for the dogs teeth, they contain natural antioxidants and vitamin C to support their immune systems! I will definitely be buying these again!

After a busy afternoon with being spoilt with his friends, Dug needed a rest. He took a special liking to the soft squeaker toy and took it to his bed for a snuggle as he nodded off.

Thank you so much to ‘Doggies that lunch’ for gifting us this amazing box for our pooches. It bought a lot of joy to all four pooches, was a welcome distraction for a very poorly doggo and gave their humans a much needed, well earned smile.
