As if by magic, when the weather got super chilly, Hot Dog Pet Products came and saved the day by treating us to a beautifully made, effortlessly chic, heated dog bed! We have a soft spot for small, Uk based companies, so it was an added bonus for us that they are a family run entity based in Yorkshire!

These beds are brilliant for doggies who hate the cold, the tiny ones, the oldies and the skinny ones! But they also serve as a great relief to pooches like Pops, who in the colder weather suffers greatly with joint pain and gets enormous comfort from being tucked up in this incredible bed. 

We have the small size as initially it was only for Pops, however we may need to consider getting another as all three of our dogs bicker over who gets the hot bed! The beds range in sizes from small to extra large and they also offer waxed beds and flat pillow beds in a wide variety of colours and beautiful fabrics. We definitely have our eye on one of the larger flat pillow beds, big enough for the three of them!

Puggy has also decided he quite likes the heat pad technology and takes great pleasure in curling up (usually with Pops), resting his head on the squishy sides. The stuffing is made from a mega bouncy fibre cushioning made from recycled plastic bottles, designed to dry quickly - so no need to worry if the bed needs a quick wash!

We recently adopted another dog called Pomegrnate. She’s a puppy farm rescue who can be nervous and skittish, but seems to find calm when she gets a chance to snuggle up in the Hot Dog bed! The benefits of these beds are endless and we rate them highly, they are also highly recommended for arthirtic dogs, for use during recovery from surgery or injury, elderly pooches  and even those with joint and circulation problems. We found that the Hot Dog bed has helped the dogs bond quicker than we would normally expect and they love to snuggle up to one another for their nap. An added bonus which has completely melted my heart!

Hot Dog Pet Products are the only beds on the market with this unique heated feature. The heat system is mains powered with 7 different, low voltage heat settings. The beds are pressure activated, so the heat will be released only when your dog settles in it. These dog beds are suitable for all pooches, even those live wires who like to chew! The cable is completely armoured with chew resistant metal and plastic, as well as a low voltage thermostatic control to prevent overheating.

There are loads of different options to choose from, so there is something for every doggy and every interior! We really loved the wax versions and the flat beds, but decided the best option for us, for now was the grey Sledmere bed, made with ethically sourced,  tough fabrics, sustainable and durable materials to ensure they stand the test of time.

These plush beds really are to die for, and i'm thrilled to help Pops soothe her aches and pains that seem to creep upon on her every winter. She is so content in her bed and has a new found skip in her step - which I am certain is due to the natural pain relief Hot Dog Pet Products are providing. I have found that after a walkies, I put the heat setting up to maximum and they all take it in turns to warm up! Then we have it set at a steady heat of 30 degrees which keeps them cosy during these very chilly months. The bed itself is so well made that we will continue to use this for all seasons, and just remove the heat pad during summer!

All in all, a very impressive, unique product, by a family ran company with a huge heart, and we cannot recommend them enough!
