DogTrac - The worlds most advanced lost pet recovery system

I’m sure we speak for all dog owners when we say that losing our beloved pooches is our biggest fear. Of course, we do all we can to avoid this but sometimes the inevitable can happen through no fault of our own and we have prepared ourselves, just in case with the support of DogTrac smart dog tags.

DogTrac is the worlds most advanced lost pet recovery system so that if our pets do end up getting lost or going missing, us dedicated owners can increase our chances of finding them as quickly as possible.

DogTrac is a simple, affordable dog tag that you simply attach to your dog’s harness or collar as a safety precaution. Activation of your account is very quick and simple, and you can add multiple dogs onto your account with ease. It took me less than 5 minutes to activate tags for all four of my fur babies, Puggy Smalls, Pops, Pomegranate and YumYum. You can add a photo and their microchip details, as well as any medical issues of things people should be aware of should your dog be found. For example, our oldest pug, Puggy is deaf and suffers with vestibular issues, making him a little wobbly when he walks. If someone found him, they would be able to see this and understand his needs better whilst we race to go and get him.

The tags come in a range of sizes, so there is something suitable for all dogs. If your pooch is lost and somebody finds them, they can immediately call the freephone number on the front of the tag which will automatically divert them to your primary contact number. If there is no response from the primary number, the call is diverted to up to two secondary numbers stored on your account.

Each tag also has a unique QR code that anybody can scan with a camera phone if they find a lost doggie. When a DogTrac QR code is scanned or searched (online using the unique 8-digit code displayed on the tag), you'll receive a text and email notifying you that your pet has been found. It also alerts you to their location and will link directly to google maps with co-ordinates and directions to find your little one asap!

The details you have set up within your account will be displayed to the finder: multiple contact numbers, multiple email addresses, any critical pet data you set, vet details (should it be in an accident), insurance details and any additional details such as medical or behavioural information. Your address details and dogs name will never be displayed for obvious security purposes.

Another feature that really caught my eye was the printable, sharable posters available from your account. If your pooch is missing or stolen, you simple won’t have time to design posters as your number one priority will be searching for your pet. With DogTrac, you can simply download a ‘Lost Pet’ poster to share on social media, or to print out so spreading the word about a lost fur baby has never been easier, faster, or more convenient.

The tags are discreet and built to last. They are waterproof, rugged, and non-corrosive so you can guarantee they will stay put even if your pooch has gone on a wild adventure! Even if your dog isn’t wearing their dog tag at the time they go missing, you can still report them lost or stolen and text/email alerts will ping to everyone in the Pet Watch community within a 5-mile radius! With a 24/7 Lost and found helpline, you can really depend on DogTrac to have your back at any time of day or night.

If you are heading off on holiday, it’s very simple to change the details on the account to your pet sitter or friends/family, so you have peace of mind knowing that they will be contacted just in case.

Our four pooches will always be wearing their DogTrac tags as I get so much peace of mind from them, especially with two anxious rescues who can be unpredictable, a new Puppy who is still learning recall and most importantly, Puggy Smalls, who is deaf, with medical needs and a real sense of adventure!

It’s a legal requirement for dogs in the UK to wear a collar and ID Tag in a public place, and DogTrac tags are guaranteed to be legally compliant. They look very smart on the dogs’ collars and harnesses and at such an affordable price it really is a no brainer. Our only regret here is that we wish we discovered these tags sooner!

We wholeheartedly love our Dog Trac tags and have been constantly recommending them to family, friends and even strangers we meet on dog walks!

If the worst should happen and one of our pooches is lost or stolen, I know I have the support network and technology of DogTrac to give me the best chances of reuniting me with my four-legged family members.
