Winter adventures with your pooch!
Puggy and Pops took their human on a gorgeous winter mini break to the isle of Wight. Travelling with the doggos in winter time is a new experience for us and Pet Pavilion kindly made sure we had everything we may needed for our adventure!
The dogs had their own case packed (of course), and it was crammed full of premium products by our favourite London Pet shop, Pet Pavilion. Here are just a few of our must have essentials that we wont ever travel without in future!
Staying warm!
We travelled in the middle of November, So it was getting chilly! Those long icy walkies were stunning, but of course, the dogs needed to be wrapped up warm! They practically lived in their made to measure Pet Pavilion dog coats. Pops was a vision in the red one with fleece collar, while Puggy looked dapper in his grey tweed number. They fit perfectly as pet pavilion make them to order and they are super soft and warm for the doggies, whilst not restricting their movements in any way. When we were back at the cottage, the dogs liked to curl up on the sofa together under their favourite new comforter - the pet pavilion cream fleece blanket. Its so fluffy, I wish they made these in human sizes!
Winter walkies
Despite Puggy and Pops being small city dogs, we ended up walking miles each day. We would be out exploring the countryside from morning till night, so we made sure we packed these four walkies essentials!
The leaf, travel water bottle - a leak proof doggy bottle that clips on to the side of your bag and doubles up as a bowl for your pooches to drink from. Perfect for doggies on the go! We refilled in when we stopped off at pubs and cafes and used it every single day!
Poop bags and dispenser - Any responsible dog owner will always carry around poop bags, but this easy dispenser clips on to the doggos lead so you never forget them again! The poop bags are environmentally friendly, large and strong. So no risk of nasty accidents!
Collar light tag - We have these permanently attached to the dogs collars and harnesses now as they are fantastic! We often ended up out in the evenings which is very dark especially in the countryside! These collar lights are a great way to keep both you and your dog safe, they have a number of different settings so you can choose if you want the light stationary or flashing and they give visibility to your group, whilst letting other people and drivers know you are there.
Creature comforts
Being away from home can be confusing to the doggies, so we made sure we bought some of their favourite things from home, to give them some comfort.
We bought along their new twisties toys, the fox and the bunny, which uggy uses to play tug, while Pops snuggles up with hers.
We also had to bring along their favourite brain training toys.
These were a god send in the cottage for when we wanted to relax and have an evening inside. They are the dogs absolute favourite toys and when stuffed full of their favourite Pet Pavilion chipolata treats, they are kept busy and entertained for hours!
And of course, just like at home, they were tucked up in bed each night with their hand baked pet pavilion bedtime biscuits, perfect for keeping them calm and relaxed!
We are now back in London, with a serious case of the holiday blues, but we are still using all of our holiday essentials in our own home and on our local walkies. Tried and tested by us humans, Puggy and Pops, the verdict is that we whole heartedly recommend them all!
Pet Pavilion - You smashed it again!
