Cinque Ports is a lovely family friendly gastro pub that sits right on the seaside. There are plenty of seating options whether you prefer to sit at a table, at the bar or on the great big comfy sofas, and bets of all… ITS DOGGO FRIENDLY!

We discovered this little beauty during the day time and it was the perfect hideaway. It has a terrace on the front over looking the beach, and throughout the venue, floor to ceiling side doors that open up completely giving us a great view point for people watching and getting the right combination of sunshine and sea breeze.

The dogs were seen to first - just the way we like it! Every staff member popped over to say hello, and gave them loads of attention. A lovely fresh water bowl was provided and they weren’t even fussed when Pops spilled the whole thing all over the floor. The atmosphere was lovely and peaceful, the music volumes were just right and the selection of booze and non alcoholic drinks was on point. I can imagine the place gets lively by night and I was informed by the bar staff that they have an exciting events calendar and DJs playing most evenings during the summer time.

The venue is right next door to Dreamland Margate and all the arcades, so the hustle and bustle outside entertained us greatly while we set up camp for a feed and a chill!
The menu has a good variation of classic British pub grub, as well as other more adventurous dishes. Veggies and Vegans catered for nicely, as well as a lovely small plate offering for children.

We ordered the classic 8oz cheese burger and the Hot Korean wings shared the lot. More than enough for two people, hearty pub grub at its finest! Everything was cooked fresh, with great quality ingredients at affordable prices.
Finished off with a very smooth coffee, the dogs took a quick nap and we headed back out to enjoy the rest of our glorious day at the seaside.
