A 5 minute walk from Hoxton station, or 13 minutes from Liverpool Street, and you will find Radio Alice.

Tucked in a corner of the hyper hipster Horton square, lies this sour dough heaven. ~ ready to make all your pizza dreams a reality.

We popped in for a cheeky little lunch time treat on the weekends, if you get there early on its quiet and peaceful, picking up towards the evenings, with dogs being allowed in always! No booking is required on the quieter days, but if you’re planning an evening there, I would suggest calling ahead.

Upon arrival the dogs were greeted by the lovely manager, who showed us to our seats and gave both dogs all the fuss! They were given a fresh water bowl and we both canines and humans felt extremely welcome.

The venue has two floors and lots of windows! Its bright and breezy, with music playing at the perfect volume. For sunnier days, they have a small, well kept little terrace, perfect for pizza al fresco!

We ordered way too much (surprise surprise) but its so difficult not to when everything on the menu looks so damn appealing! The dough is hand stretched and freshly made in the open kitchen in the centre of the restaurant, and the smells going on are mouth watering!

Of course there were many vegan and veggie options available, but we ordered the grissini sticks wrapped with spec with a spicy noida honey dip, the pork sausage pizza with fennel and parmigiana and the summertime special with tzatziki and cucumber. Everything was so delicious, you could tell all ingredients were mega fresh and these guys are serious about sour dough.

Of course we had to finish off with a little sweet treat, so we shared the pizza dough profiteroles - a brand new collaboration between Radio Alice and Gails Bakery. They were filled with peanut butter, ice cream and drizzled with chocolate sauce. All washed down with an expertly made cappuccino. BLISS!

To finish off the most perfect dog friendly lunch, we let the dogs have a play in the dog friendly Hoxton square, and headed off on our daily adventures, feeling satisfied to the max.

Snackies out of ten? 10/10 would sour dough again!

Top tip - Radio Alice has other branches in Clapham and Canary Wharf and I’ve been informed they are all doggie friendly. And don’t forget - they also do takeaway!!!
