The instadoggo pet accessory brand of choice
It’s no secret that we are ultra fans of Bully Billows. It’s been over a year since we discovered our very first products from the brand and our collection has grown rapidly!
They frequently release new items into their already extensive range of innovative harnesses, collars, leads, grooming gear and pet tags, and it’s safe to say we have tried and tested a lot!
Bully Billows was born in 2018 in Nottingham and has been disrupting and revolutionising the canine accessory industry ever since. Bully Billows is an unstoppable force and has been spotted all over the globe. We have been noticing more and more dogs “in the wild” rocking their Bully Billows gear and we love to see it, as we know first-hand the quality and safety of these products is unbeatable.
You may assume Bully Billows is for the big doggos out there, and I guess you’re not wrong. They are incredibly well made, super safe and built to last, but don’t get it twisted…. Sure, they are great for big dogs, working dogs and the chonky boys and gals out there, but their diverse range and sizing options make it the perfect solution for our two small pugs, Puggy Smalls and YumYum, and our extra tiny, awkwardly long sausage dog, Pops! Even our super fluffy Pomeranian rocks Bully Billows and the compliments from fellow dog walkers are never ending!
I would strongly recommend checking out the website and doing your research as there’s lots of information on the products with size guides and breed specific advice, but for the purpose of this blog, I want to show off our favourite items and why they work so well for our pack.
Firstly, we have Mr Puggy Smalls. Our sensational wheelie pug! When he’s not zooming around causing mayhem in his wheels, you will find him in his black Bully Billows boomerang Harness in size small. This harness is without a doubt the best fitting harness we have ever has for puggy. It works as a collar and harness in one, without being restrictive on his shoulders or chest. It’s super east to put on as he can just step into it and the Velcro/clip back fastening is super secure for when he goes on a wobbly walkies or clipped into his car seat!
Next up, YumYum. The wild one. He’s a lean, super fit, hyperactive Pug with endless energy, so we needed something that fits him perfectly for his many adventures. We love the boomerang harness for YumYum too, and he has it in a few different colours, but our absolute favourite must be the Hurricane harness. This really was sent to us from the Harness gods as all our prayers were answered! I wanted something that looked cool, didn’t rub his armpits, was adjustable as he gains weight/muscle, light weight and easy to clean. The Hurricane ticks all these boxes and more. It’s great for dogs who pull or are in training, with its frontal d loop and super durable fabric, I’m also a big fan of the quick grab handle for extra support during training, or crossing roads etc…
This harness really is the gift that keeps giving and I’m definitely going to invest in more colours.
Whilst we are on the subject of YumYum, it would be a crime to not mention the two leashes we swear by. First, we have a bio thane long line, which has a mega strong clasp and meters of durable leash so he can have freedom on unknown walkies, but I ultimately have control to ensure his safety. It was also a must have for his puppy training classes, and everyone in our class eventually got one for their pups too! We also frequently use the ladder lead; we have it in every colour now as its probably our most used dog product.
Upson first inspection, it’s a well-made, cute dog lead with strong stainless-steel hardware and padded handle for human comfort, but this lead has been a gamechanger and it works for every single one of our dogs. The lead has multiple hidden handles all the way down, allowing us owners to hold with both hands, or to shorten/lengthen the lead when we choose, which is an excellent tool for training and road safety. It’s incredible and we cannot recommend it enough!
Lastly our little Pops. I’m sure most dachshund owners feel my pain when I say finding a harness to suit their deep chests, slim necks, short legs and long bodies is not an easy task! I’ve tried them all with Pops but always found them to bunch up, fit poorly and run her armpits. Then along came our newest addition to our Bully Billows collection…. The step in harness! This one is a real game changer for any small doggies out there as it allows Pops to have total freedom in her front legs and chest and works well on and off leash! Its slightly padded which provides extra comfort and it cleans up well, looking brand new even after the muddiest of walkies. Pops is currently pocking the carmine rose colour with matching ladder lead, but I can’t wait to get more as we head into different seasons.
I cannot find a single bad word to say about Bully Billows, it’s a brand I respect, and love and I can guarantee when you are purchasing any of their products, it’s an investment piece that will last you for many years.
If you’re looking for a safe, expertly designed harness, no matter what shape, size or breed of dog you have, then look no further as Bully Billows have every answer!
