Earlier this year, we spent months trying to find a place that would allow us to have both our dogs. In the past I’ve been guilty of hiding Pops and not even disclosing her to my landlords, panicking every time the landlord would visit, trying to smuggle her over to friends houses and hide any trace of dog in the home! Thankfully, after a long hard slog over summer, we found somewhere perfect for us and our pooches, but had we known about Essential Living, it would have made our lives so much easier!

We were lucky enough to be invited to Union Wharf in the centre of South Londons, Greenwich, for a sniff around, and here’s what we thought!

So the choice is there if you wanted to mingle with the other residents and make connections with your neighbours. Ive always loved London, and having been here for over 10 years myself it can sometimes feel lonely and lack a sense of community, which is exactly what Essential Living is tackling and I think its very exciting.

The apartments range from studios to 3 bedrooms and are all finished to a very high standard with gorgeous, on trend furniture, all the latest appliances and amazing views across the city. There is a maintenance squad on tap, as well as a 24/7 residents team, and all the big bills are included in the monthly cost - making your life less stressful and giving you more time to focus on what makes you happy. They even have a dedicated team who arrange monthly social events for the residents!

The best part though …. ALL FOUR OF THEIR GORGEOUS RENTAL BUILDINGS ARE COMPLETELY PET FRIENDLY!!! Yes, you heard that right! Finally somewhere stylish and stress free to rent with your pet! During our visit, we must have seen at least five pooches walking around the venue, and there’s lots of space both indoors and outside for them to explore and meet some other four legged friends.

Each of their apartments have been designed by experts, to completely maximise the use of space to give you more a better living environment. There's ample storage space for dog toys and treats, and the standard of decor and design is exquisite. Pops and Puggy visited a range of furnishedapartments are were very happy at the amount of space there was to play fetch and to stretch out on the comfy rugs and the super bouncy beds! There are floor to ceiling windows giving awesome views across London, a dream if your dog is an observer like Pops. She took some time sitting at the window, watching the world go by, judging all the passers by below her (both physically and metaphorically). While Puggy decided to raid the spacious kitchen and dining spaces to see if he could find any snackies!

If you are looking for a rental, that is slick and stylish, with a minimal commute into Central London, then you must check out an Essential Living development, there is always someone on hand to answer and questions and I guarantee you will be as impressed as we were.

Our only regret is that we didn’t know about these guys earlier, but we will definitely consider it next time we move home as we would genuinely love to be part of this vibrant community.
