Poundstretcher's pawesomely affordable pet goodies
We were lucky enough to get the opportunity to visit our local Poundstretcher to grab some of their paw-esomely affordable pet goodies to try out!
The shop is teaming with a wide range of bargain goods, but we headed straight to the pet aisle and we were not disappointed!
They have a huge selection of things for dogs large and small, and we picked out some of the products that we knew Puggy, Pops and Pomegranate would love most!
First thing’s first, our pooches love nothing more than to lounge around and cuddle, so we picked up an amazing fluffy pet bed, a fleece throw and a whole bunch of plushie squeaky toys! The softness of the bed and blanket is unbelievable and all three dogs fight to squeeze in! All these items are machine washable and dry really fast - I think we may have to head back and buy a few more to stop these guys squabbling!
The plush squeaky toys are super fun. They are bright and sassy and the tropical fruit range is a particular hit for summer time vibes, not to mention Instagram gold for photoshoots!
We were also quick to pick up some grooming gear! They had a massive selection of shampoos and grooming accessories, and we made the most of this by picking up a gorgeous ultra-absorbent pet towel, as well as some pet safe, anti-viral RSPCA surface cleaner. The towel is an absolute must-have for bath time as it helps dry their fur quickly and reduced any time they needed with their nemesis – the hair dryer! It’s also an absolute must-have for summer travels with the dogs, and we are keeping it in the car so we are well prepared for muddy walkies and trips to the beach. No more sandy wet doggos ruining the seats!
Of course we stocked up on some essential doggy products – Poop bags! These XL super strong ones are a life saver when out and about and the double strength high quality bags help protect our human hands from very unwanted accidents (we have all been there)! They are also completely biodegradable which gets a huge thumbs up from us!
Last but not lest we got the dogs some snacks! Some low fat turkey training treats for everyday rewards, as well as some super tasty chewy duck strips that drive them absolutely wild!
Each dog definitely has a favourite item. Puggy loves his fluffy bed and his champagne squeaky toy. Pops is obsessed with her super soft Sherpa blanket and Pomegranate loves the turtle toy with a squeaker and rubber shell.
There really is something there for everyone, for all types of doggos and for all types of budget. We were amazed at how many bargains we got our paws on and will be sure to stop at a Poundstretcher every time we pass one! There are so many stores dotted all over the country that you won’t ever be far from these value for money goodies, waiting to be snapped up!
The staff are wonderfully helpful and it was a pleasure to shop at Poundstretcher, and to watch our dogs enjoy their goodies!
