Chuckit! – Dog Toys that are making fetch happen!
Most dog owners out there (unless you’ve been hiding under a rock) are well aware of the Chuckit ball launchers already! And if you haven’t – keep reading because we are about to brag all about them! However, we were thrilled to discover all about the broader range of incredible dog toys Chuckit has to offer, and we are so excited to be able to tell you what our three doggies thought of them.
We were lucky enough to be sent a selection of Chuckit toys to introduce to our dogs and we are happy to report that they have been a roaring success with Puggy, Pops and Pomegranate who are all very different dogs with different needs. We have hand-picked some of the dogs’ favourites that we cannot recommend highly enough!

Let’s start with our adventure pooch, Pomegranate. The rescue Pomeranian with heaps of energy and real zest for life! Pomegranate loves to explore and really gets involved with playtime. She’s an intense character who will play fetch for hours and has recently learned the joy of splashing around in rivers and her new giant paddling pool at home! The Chuckit Max Glow Pro has become a staple for walkies and garden play. This launcher makes fetch an easier game for the human and will increase the average hand throw up to three times, meaning my arms don’t ache like crazy and Pomegranate gets plenty of exercise each time she retrieves her ball! The ball launchers come in a variety of sizes and most balls from the Chuckit range are compatible. We have the Medium sized version that glows in the dark! Which is an incredible idea for evening play time and helps us find the ball if it goes AWOL! This is also a brilliant toy for our Pug, who has recently gone deaf. The extra stimulation of a glow in the dark toy makes play time much more engaging for him as we work on building up his confidence. This is definitely Pomegranate’s toy of choice. We often find her dragging the launcher around the house hinting to go out and play, and she even enjoys solo play with the ball, which she paws and rolls on whilst inside the house!
Pomegranate has also really enjoyed playing with the highly visible amphibious balls. They are light enough to float, but still hard wearing. Pommie will be entertained for hours chasing them into the water and loves it when we hold the ball under water, and she pounces from her floaty when it pops up to the surface. These are also compatible with our ball launcher, and we regularly take her out to play fetch at the local lake, which is a great way of keeping her active yet cool during the warmer months.
As we mentioned before, Chuckit is certainly not a one trick pony when it comes to variation. As a Pug owner and general lover of flat faced pooches, its sometimes sad seeing them struggle with holding toys in their mouths. We couldn’t be happier with the Breathe Right balls, which have made ball games much safer for our beloved Pug, Puggy Smalls. These balls have been designed to facilitate air flow into dogs lungs when running and during fetch. These unique, natural rubber toys are perfect for dogs, like Puggy who may struggle with breathing, meaning play time can last longer, with extended bonding time for us as a family and of course, more exercise for our chunky little pug! All of the Breathe Right balls are compatible with their relevant launchers, and we are completely obsessed! Puggy is also a huge fan of his Chuckit Kick Fetch ball. He loves when we gently kick it to him, and he uses his front paws to bop it back to us. As with all the Chuckit toys, the bright colours mean it is easy for him to spot and engage with and its deep ridges make it easy for him to pick up with his mouth. Endless fun for our little man and we play with them every single day!
Lastly, we have little Pops. Pops is a rescue dachshund who is timid and nervous when it comes to playtime. She had a bad start in life which has affected how she plays and engages with toys. She’s not usually a fan of fetch, tough or tug play, and is generally a very lazy dog who loves to nap. However, after a gentle introduction to some Chuckit toys, we have really noticed her come out of her shell. Pops LOVES the Chuckit ultra balls. She really enjoys watching them bounce and will bark and chase them the whole length of the garden (which is a long way on those little legs)! We are still working on retrieval and trying to get her to bring the balls back to us, but we are so happy that we have found a toy that excites her and gets her engaging in group play! Pops also loves the Chuckit indoor roller toy. She really enjoys watching it roll around indoors and she even cosies up to it when she’s relaxing on the sofa and will rest her head on the soft, fluffy textured roller while she naps.
So, there you have it, our ultimate favourite goodies from Chuckit. Although we have only mentioned a few, there are so many more options, including larger toys for big dogs, ultra-tough toys, tennis balls, tug toys, whistling balls and more! Almost all products have some level of feature crossover such as being ultra-durable, floating, great visibility etc… We just can’t believe it’s taken us this long to discover a brand with such a fun, hard waring, inclusive and diverse range of toys for all doggos!
