We have been long term fans of the Pet Teezer range, and we were thrilled when they approached us to write up a review with our three very gorgeous, but very different doggies in mind!

First up, we have Pomegranate. Pomegranate is a floofy, foxy Pomeranian, with a mane so fabulous she could stop traffic! She requires the most grooming out of all the pooches, but things weren’t easy at first! When we rescued Pommie 18 months ago, her fur was matted, sparce and dull. She was afraid of any type of grooming, but after a few gentle introductions with the Pet Teezer, she learned to love it. Along with the support of an incredible dog groomer, Pomegranate’s fur is enviably full and soft. We use it for everyday grooming to enhance her fluffiness, and once per week for a more intense groom to help de-shed her undercoat, massage her skin and keep everything healthy from root to tip! We also keep one in the car, in case Pomegranate decides to go for a swim, so we can keep on top of tangles with ease, even while on the go!

It’s the only brush we have used that combats the undercoat and gets rid of knots without any pain, leaving Pomegranate feeling confident and looking like a supaw model!

Next up, the gorgeous Puggy Smalls.

Puggy is a very handsome, laid back boy, with an incredibly dense, wiry fawn coat. He’s always loved being pampered with his various grooming sprays and his Pet Teezer, so we were all very sad that he hasn’t been able to enjoy this for a few months.  Sadly, Puggy has suffered greatly with long term ear troubles, and has had to endure a major surgery to remove his ear canals to stop infection spreading. The vets needed to shave his head and we were advised not to bath him until he is completely healed, which was exactly three months. 

Of course, we used his Pet Teezer whilst he recovered, which he loved as it helped him shed some of his coat for summer. And as advised by his vets, we used the Pet Teezer brushes to gently massage his shaved areas on his head and legs. The Tangle Teezer gives a gentle massage and has not only soothed poor little Puggy while his fur grows back but has actually helped to stimulate his skin and encourage hair growth, which we are thrilled about!

Puggy had his first bath in three months and without doubt, his favourite part is when we brush his conditioner through his fur with the Pet Teezer, which is completely waterproof and gets the products all the way through his very thick fur. We have noticed that in a few short weeks since his surgery, his fur is starting to grow back evenly and quickly, all thanks to regular stimulation with his Pet Teezer!

It’s been extremely tough seeing Puggy so drained from his surgery and adapting to life as a deaf dog, and we are super thankful for the moments of comfort, calm and connectivity Pet Teezer has created between us and our handsome, brave Puggy.

Last but not least. Pops the short haired dachshund. Sure, her coat may be low maintenance, but this diva demands daily massages and brushing sessions with her Pet Teezer! We find that Pops skin can get flaky, and her fur can look dull, but since we started using the Pet Teezer daily, we have noticed that she looks healthier and shiner.
